This January, Dennis Hannan noticed that his golf cart was missing from his carport. He reported it stolen and within minutes found it listed on Craigslist. He took his findings to the man he bought the cart from and discovered that this had happened on several occasions. After speaking with several police stations and yet seeing no action, they drove to a sheriff’s department closest to the location of the stolen cart, where they met Erik Coker. They hatched a plan to fool the seller into thinking they were interested buyers. At the seller’s house, they found not only Hannan’s stolen cart, but another cart reported stolen in December. The police confiscated the vehicles and were returned to their owners, after they paid the impound and transportation fees.
